Edge has done it again. The leading name in aftermarket performance electronics just launched the newest in their line of the products, the CTS Evolution and the CS Evolution. Edge revolutionized the automotive world when they first launched the Edge Juice years ago. It seems like their team has been working overtime because they’re continually coming out with newer, more innovative products every time. And now, it seems they gave the Evolution a stylish makeover, with more improvements to boot.
The Original Edge Evolution
The Edge Evolution is a multi-tasking gadget that is an in-cab controller and digital gauge display in one. It allows you to monitor vital engine parameters such as the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT), Transmission Temperature, DPF Regeneration Status and many more. View up to 8 parameters on your display all at once. You can also display and clear diagnostic trouble codes quickly and easily. Furthermore, it has safety features that alert you when critical levels on various engine functions are reached. You can also perform tests like 0-60 and quarter-mile tests, which come in handy after installing some performance parts. And if that’s not enough, the Edge Evolution brings you incredible increases in Horsepower and Torque, as well as better fuel efficiency.
Updates to the Evolution
Edge takes it to a new level with the CS Evolution and CTS Evolution by allowing you to configure your vehicle to run in 7 power levels that give your vehicle gains of up to 180 Horsepower and 385 Foot Pounds of Torque. The CS Evolution also has a new sleek design and a new 2.4 inch, button-controlled full-color, high-resolution screen, as well as a light-sensitive meter that adjusts the brightness of your screen based on whatever lighting conditions are available so that you can clearly view your display. On the other hand, the CTS Evolution features a full-color, high-resolution touch-screen 4.3 inch display. In addition, the CTS Evolution is equipped with a video-in port, which you can connect with Edge’s state-of-the-art back-up camera (sold separately) or any other compatible off-the-shelf backup camera so that you can see exactly what’s going on in your engine.
Current Applications
The Edge CS and CTS Evolution will work on the new body style Chevy/GMC 2007 and 2008 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, 6.2L V8 Gas Models and Chevy/GMC 2006 to 2009 Duramax 6.6L LLY, LBZ, LMM Diesel Models.
